d) You may connect to the Website using an external third-party application, such as Facebook. Under these circumstances, Family.me must store Your third-party login credentials to function. Your third-party login credentials will be stored only so long as You continue to enable login to Family.me through the third party Website. Your third-party login credentials are hashed and stored with the strictest security standards.

e) All information described in (a) – (d) of this Section 1 shall be considered “Personal Information” as such term is used throughout this Privacy Policy.

2. Use and Sharing of Personal Information

a) Family.me may use Personal Information You provide to create and maintain Your account, to personalize Your experience, and to send periodic email communications relating to our services. We may also send out emails to inform You of about new products or features we think may be of interest to You.

3. Children’s Privacy

a) Family.me is directed at people who are at least 13 years old, and Family.me does not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are aware that Family.me has collected Personal Information from someone under the age of 13, please alert Family.me at support@family.me and the information will be removed from our system as soon as is reasonably possible. This policy regarding collection of data from children exceeds the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

6. California Privacy Disclosure

a) This Privacy Policy describes Family.me’s handling of personally identifiable information as required by the California Online Privacy Protection Act and personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act. California residents have the additional rights described in this section.

b) Family.me does not and will not sell Personal Information to any other party.

c) Right to Know and Right to Delete - You have the right to request that Family.me disclose what Personal Information it collects, uses, and discloses. You also have the right to request that Family.me delete the Personal Information it has collected. To make a Right-to-Know request related to Personal Information and/or make a deletion request, log in to Your Family.me account. You can also make a Right-to-Know request related to Personal Information and/or make a deletion request by calling 1-877-817-7393 during Family.me’s business hours. You will be required to log-in to Your Family.me account in order for Family.me to verify Your request. Family.me cannot delete Personal Information that it is under a legal obligation to maintain. An authorized agent may make a request on Your behalf. No additional proof will be required from an authorized agent, except that, for Your protection, we will only disclose the categories of Personal Information collected to authorized agents that make requests though Family.me’s toll free number.
